Terence P. Hurley, DDS
Dr. Terence Hurley received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986 from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Hurley served as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps at Fort Hood, Texas and received both an Army Commendation Medal and an Expert Field Medical Badge while on active duty from 1986 to 1990. He arrived in Elmira in 1992 and was in solo practice in Elmira’s Near Westside Historic District until his retirement in August of 2017. He is an active member in the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Sixth District Dental Society and is a past president of the Chemung County Dental Society.
Terry and his wife Julie married in 1985 and together they have raised three children. Michael graduated with a master’s degree from Saint Bonaventure University and presently is a special education teacher in Virginia where he resides with his wife, Kara. Erin is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is also a graduate of the State University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She completed a two year dental residency program at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and is now in private practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Ryan graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and recently completed his Masters in Actuarial Sciences from St. John’s University in NYC where he now lives.
