Welcome to our office. As a patient at Near Westside Dental, my hope is that you feel valued as a person and listened to as a patient. As we look forward to meeting you and creating the best possible office environment for you, I welcome your input and questions at any step in the process. Your new patient visit typically starts by filling out registration, health history and privacy forms. We can provide those for you beforehand or at your initial visit or, if you would prefer, you can easily download them from this site and bring the completed forms to your appointment (See the links below this paragraph to download these forms). I will meet with you upon your arrival and listen to any specific concerns or questions you may have about our office or your dental care. After that, we will provide a thorough and comprehensive exam that includes digital radiographs, intra oral pictures, assessment of both your teeth and gums, head and neck cancer screening and then prepare your treatment plan. You also will be treated by one of our experienced Dental Hygienists and given a professional dental cleaning. After you have had an opportunity to discuss your treatment with any of our clinical staff, you will be escorted to our front desk where you will be guided through the appointment and financial process. As either an existing or new patient to our practice, we fully understand that not all dental needs present themselves at convenient times. We set aside emergency appointment time each and every work day to better assist you when you most need us. Additionally, after hours Dr. Missih (or a colleague if Dr. Missih is unavailable) can be reached by calling our office and following the instructions on our answering machine.
As a service to our patients, our practice will be happy to submit any and all insurance claims electronically. Our staff will also gladly file pre treatment estimates to your carrier upon your request. It is important that you keep in mind that you are responsible for any balance that is not covered by insurance. When more extensive care is necessary, financial arrangements can be made with our office. Please call our office at any time and we will be happy to further clarify any other financial concerns that you may have as we want you to feel comfortable and confident in all aspects of our office.
